As the author of a non-fiction book, I am aware of the care and dedication that goes into a book’s creation. I have edited and proofread countless books of various genres including fiction, humour, self-help and biography, which has helped provide me with the experience necessary to help other writers turn their book from an idea into a work of art. When you have your book - either written in full or just an idea - it is essential to remember that this is a work that the public has the ability to comment on, meaning it needs to be perfect.
I have worked on both fiction and non-fiction, from fantasy novels to dense scientific material. I not only perform a grammatical edit, but structural edit, too. A structural edit means if I feel some parts need moving or restructuring I will suggest as much. A lot of raw manuscripts require a level of structural changes, because what makes sense in the author's mind does not easily translate to the reader. The service also includes formatting the book so it is ready for print should you choose to self-publish rather than approach a conventional publisher.
Ghostwriting is another service I am experienced in and offer for books. For those unfamiliar with the term, if you have an idea for a book but are unable to write it yourself, for whatever reason, a ghostwriter will write it on your behalf and you will keep the copyright and credit for the work.
